Got to watch the Award winning film of Sekhar Dattatri on "The Truth About Tigers".
A candid well made film, with four solutions to the problem,not only revealed the truth about tigers, but also revealed the "Truth about the obnoxious greed of man, callousness and exploitative nature of humans and the "apathy" that pre...vails towards our surrounding by the so called educated and well informed sections of the society."

Soaked in the "KEERTHANA SHRAVANAM" of Lalgudi's genius. Mind rolled back to several musical interactions I have had with him.
Felt so happy with the disciplines of the disciples and the concerted manner in which they presented their Guru's teachings ! the " medley of varnams" , with 7 snippets from the Lalgudi treasure cove of varnams, was truly a novel idea, presented with perfection.

Attended 'Pallavi Darbar " day 3. September 29th 2010.

A marvellous effort by Sashikiran, in a attempt to shoowcase young talent, revive old traditions and demystify concepts of pallavi !

Strong teaching pedagogy and academic rigour go to make excellent professionals , amply proved by Chitravina Narasimhan !

Prodigies are made, but they last only when they continue to mould themselves ! Living example is Chitravina Ravikiran. Such amazing clarity in thought and lucidity in explanation !
